Portal 11 gallery presents personal exhibition “The Talking Stones” by Vyacheslav Prytula. 23.09.23-29.10.23.
I was invited as a guest and the fairy tale became my companion. I spoke in whispers and walked on my tiptoes so as not to frighten the magical birds and I even pretended to be them. But silent, at first glance, the stones were watching me and building their garden. They wanted to talk and found a listener in me. Each of them has their own story, they know how to joke, laugh and even love. Their language was understandable to me and I imperceptibly entered into a dialogue with them. Such a thing cannot even be dreamed of. “Art begins where words end,” I thought and decided to draw my own fairy tale as a reward.
Prytula Vyacheslav was born in the city of Poltava in 1965. He graduated from the Myrhorod Ceramic Technical School in 1985. In 1997, he completed postgraduate studies at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (NAFAA). Till nowadays, he works in the media of sculpture in the genres of classical figurative and abstraction. The author of numerous monuments in Aivazovske Park, Partenit, Crimea. The author’s works are in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
