Gallery Portal 11 presents personal exhibition by Vasyl Demkiv “Inside a Woman’s Heart”. 10.06.23 – 09.07.23.
“A woman… Who is she? What is her mission? …Is it really the word woman synonymous with endless self-sacrifice and self-abnegation?
Answering this main question, we may say that woman’s mission is very simple – to be onself and to bring to this world emanations of her beautiful Soul. The Soul that is not limited by any kind of ideology, but is enjoying its complete freedom. Woman nature is to bring beauty in this marvelous world and to inspire men by doing almost nothing for this, just being oneself.
Why does a man miss woman? He is sad because he doesn’t feel those feminine energies that complement his man’s power and manliness. He is sad for that inward beauty, which a woman is carrying in her Soul… a woman, who knows oneself, understands her mission in this beautiful world to enjoy freedom, to love and respect own nature, to be dignified and self-respective.
What is woman for man? A woman for man is primarily a Goddess of Inspiration. When a man looks at dignity woman, who loves and respects oneself, he sees a Goddess, and inspiration is awaking in him. The inspiration to make beautiful things, to realize his creative thoughts, ideas and his spirit in matter, and then – to devote his creations to Goddess with huge gratitude. To that Goddess, who has inspired him so kindly. And when a woman looks at what was made because of her, she feels like a magician, who did almost nothing, but in fact did truly a lot…” (Concept: Dmitriy Myagkov)
Vasyl Demkiv was born in 1984 in the Cherniiv village, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He studied at the Kosiv School of Applied and Decorative Arts (Kosiv, Ivano-Frankivsk region), department of artistic metal processing, and also completed his master’s degree at the Lviv Academy of Arts. He is an artist of decorative and applied fine arts, master, teacher, co-author of “Tree of Ukraine” for Mystetskyy Arsenal Gate (in cooperation with “Pysanka” LLC), most of the artworks he creates for order.
“I work with various artistic means of self-expression, suchas metal sculpting, welding drawing, synthesis of author’s techniques of sculpture and painting, etc. I mainly use the following materials: metal, plastic, foam, silicone, acrylic,” the author says about himself.
