The exhibition will feature the opening of the sculpture “Forbidden Fruit” by ZiguraArt. This new art object is a gift to Kyiv from gallery Portal 11.
The sculpture will be installed in front of the entrance to the monastery garden of St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Cathedral, namely on the facade of the house on Triokhsviatytelska 11.

At the same time there will be a personal sculpture exhibition of Mykyta Zigura at gallery Portal 11 (27.06.2020 – 26.07.2020). As part of his new project, the sculptor has created a series of art objects related to the idea of the perfection of nature. His sculptures are various fruits that grow through hard work, patience and skill. Perhaps one of them is the same forbidden fruit from the Garden of Eden. By the first sin of Adam and Eve, and we continue to losing it today, finally devastating our earth. But humanity is able to save it. We can turn the land into a flower garden again. Fruits are the quintessence of everything. In each of these “gifts of nature” is a whole universe: a paradise apple, as a symbol of our world, which everyone wants to touch, a pomegranate that is colored like the sky and covered with arabesques, two cherries, that are frozen in a moment before the fall…
Currently, the world is facing unprecedented problems: global warming, environmental degradation and its replacement by artificial ones, and as a result, excessive consumption of goods and services. This project is like an allegory, an artistic rethinking of a world-class problem…
