“Geometry” group exhibition

Gallery Portal 11 presents “Geometry” group exhibition. 30.11.2024-12.01.2025.

The exhibition “Geometry…” invites the viewer to look at geometry not only as a set of abstract forms and lines, but as a universal language through which art and science address the world. The idea of the exhibition focuses on exploring geometry as a foundation through which artists convey the meaning of existence, the structure of the universe, and inner harmony.
Geometry is an integral part of human culture and thinking. From ancient mosaics using the repetition of simple shapes to modern works of abstraction, art has always demonstrated a philosophical approach to geometric concepts. The triangle, square, circle, and other shapes symbolize different levels of being, the relationship between the cosmic and the earthly, and unite space, human nature, and even spirituality.
Greek philosophers, including Pythagoras, believed that “everything is number,” where mathematical ideas have spiritual meaning.
Shapes such as the circle (symbol of eternity and wholeness), square (harmony and stability), and triangle (balance and dynamics) gain significance not just as elements of composition, but as expressions of life concepts. The works of the exhibition demonstrate how geometry in art becomes a way of reflecting complex emotions, worldviews, and spiritual quests.
Throughout the ages, geometry has been at the core of artistic works, even when the author tried to abandon any form.
