“Isometry of Reality” – an exhibition by Kyiv artist Natasha Steshenko. In her creative practice, the artist explores the issue of conscious human relationships and the environment they form.
“In fact, our world is isometric. Why did we never notice this? Because we see everything in perspective. Perspective is the ability of our eyes formed by evolution to distort reality. It helps us navigate in space, determine the size and distance to the objects around us.
When we look at the rectangular surface of the desk, we see a reduction in perspective, even though in reality the size of the desk does not change. This is a property of the real world that we do not see. That’s why I like isometry, it helps to portray the world closer to reality, ” – the artist claimed.
Natasha Steshenko is an artist from Kyiv. She graduated from Kyiv Polytechnic University at the Department of Graphic Arts, where she studied the academic drawing, painting, illustration and design. She was nominated for Memorial award named after Alexis Shtanko “For exceptional design and illustration”.
For seven years, she worked as a game developer and web designer also she was engaged in artistic design of commercial projects. During this time, she studied a large number of instruments, tools and techniques, through which she created dozens of unique works.
