Gallery «Portal 11» presents exhibition of paintings by Svitlana Ahranovska «Transition State» 18.07.2019 – 31.07.2019.
The «Transition State» project consists of three series of paintings. Common to all the work is the presence of a certain starting point- recognizable object that is easily readable and may seem like a mountain, a tree or an eye. Familiar objects are surrounded by decorative abstract forms that create context, but not narrative.
Despite the presence of a genre component, that develops into an abstract form, the picture does not become, in the strict sense of the word, neither genre nor abstract, but stops and freezes in this moment of transition.
Ahranovska Svitlana born in 1985 in Dnipro, Ukraine.
Education:
2004-2009 Dnipro Theater and Art College, Painting department.
2009-2015 National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture, Department of Painting and Composition, Kyiv.
