Gallery “Portal 11” presents exhibition of paintings by Pavlo Lysyi “Apolychrome” 05.06.2019 – 23.06.2019.
Pavlo Lysyi was born in 1987 in Mykolayiv, Ukraine. In 2007 he graduated Ushynsky South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University, the Institute of Arts in Odessa, in 2010 -The Grekov Odessa Art school, Painting department. 2010- 2016- National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture, Department of Painting and Composition, Kyiv.
The project “Apolychrome” is a visual story about the gradual appearance of color on the 19 paintings. Black and white and color pictures are presented equally and arranged by the time of writing from later achromatic (2017-2018) to earlier colored (2014-2016).
The paintings are exposed from the newest year of creation to the very first created. The color also fades in the growing order of creation. Thus, emphasizing the maximalism of actual time and romanticism of the past.
